World's first built-in certified kneepads
Snickers Workwear has been inventing - and reinventing - workwear since 1975. And now they’re doing it again with the launch of the world’s first built-in, certified kneepads completely integrated into a pair of premium stretch trousers. With low-profile, lightweight, and flexible kneepads, these trousers provide a freedom of movement and comfort that usually only comes with no kneepads at all.

JCB, renowned for their heavy machinery and equally robust work site footwear, has recently launched the JCB Fastrac Safety Boots. Not to be confused with their other highly popular work boot The JCB Fast Track boot, the Fastrac sports a higher specification and, therefore perhaps understandably, a slightly higher price tag. Here at Workwear gurus we were given a sneak preview of these boots and were delighted to give them a spin. We put them through their paces in order to see how they measure up on the job. We wanted to share our findings.

The challenges associated with selecting suitable hearing protection, the risks of over protection and the importance of offering your employees a choice.
The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 (the Noise Regulations) require employers to prevent or reduce risks to health and safety from exposure to noise at work. Sounds can be harmful when they are too loud, this could be from a brief exposure or when you have been repeatedly exposed to them over a long period of time. These sounds can damage the sensitive structures in the inner ear and can cause noise induced hearing loss (NIHL). Unfortunately, no one is exempt from NIHL and its effects on hearing are often permanent, hence why rapid action against noise at work is so important.
Once you have established the levels of noise you are being exposed to, you should

Progressive supports authorised retailers to highlight Safety Footwear and Workwear displayed in store and increase visibility of the JCB Workwear brand.
Showcasing the JCB Workwear brand is of high importance at Progressive Safety. Consistency is key, displays of JCB Workwear look the same to the consumer from store to store, from a multi-national branch to an independent trade counter. Drawing the attention of the shopper is our aim – how can you miss the iconic, world renowned JCB yellow logo?
Designed to meet the needs of retailers, products can be displayed either in or out of the packaging, stacked or hung. Each retailer has their individual requirements and Progressive can be flexible with the in-store solution to make it work for all. There’s no ask too big or small.
